Guest Mode

Guest Mode User Guide

Starting from version 2.0.4, we have introduced the Guest Mode feature, allowing you to use the core debugging functionalities of EchoAPI without logging in, with no internet connection, or in an intranet environment.

Important Notes:

  • If you switch to an intranet or offline environment while logged in, you need to connect to the internet and log out before switching to Guest Mode for normal use.

Features

In Guest Mode, you can:

  • Support debugging for HTTP, SSE, and TCP type interfaces, as well as load testing.

  • Use Cookies, Global Params, Global Variables, Environment Variables, and configure Proxies and Certificates.

Important Reminders:

  1. Guest Mode only supports creating a single environment. If you need to use multiple environments, please log in to your account.
  2. Guest Mode is for individual use only. If you need to collaborate with team members, you will still need to log in.
  3. When used in an offline environment, the client will display a network error message approximately 3 seconds after startup, but this will not affect functionality.

About Data Storage

Important: Interface data created in Guest Mode is stored on your local device. Please be aware that clearing the cache or uninstalling the tool may lead to data loss.

When you log in to your account from Guest Mode, EchoAPI will automatically check if there is any data on your local device. If local data is found, a prompt will appear to guide you on how to handle this data.

Data Handling Options:

  • Export as Swagger: This will export the data as a file while retaining local data, which you can still access after logging out.
  • Move Data to Cloud: This will migrate local data to cloud storage, meaning that your local device will no longer retain this data. Once you log out, you will not be able to access the local interface data.
